I have long experience managing IT Projects and even longer experience in IT, predominantly, network equipment and connectivity.

Situation
Open to contract roles with a mix of remote and on-site working. My local area is the Biarritz, Anglet, Bayonne area. Willing to travel to major cities across western Europe. London and Paris are both a short hop by air.

Key Achievements
Project Management – Telephony in factories for GlaxoSmithKline at Ware and Dartford. Telephony at office sites for GlaxoSmithKline across UK and Europe plus Tokyo and sites across Pakistan. Various contact centres (including Boots Walgreens Alliance, British Red Cross and Addison Lee). System-wide voicemail systems for SmithKline Beecham and GlaxoSmithKline.
Organisation – Created order management database application (Global Crossing), created custom network inventory application (GSK) for better access to management information.
Initiative/innovation – Created software tool to improve data quality and reduce incidents (GSK), created automated circuit design tool (partial, Global Crossing).
Technical Knowledge – Reduced risk and impact by redesigning migration approach at Walgreens Boots Alliance. Assisted in product development of various new products at AT&T including their UK 0800 service.

In reality, project reporting is integral to project management. Reports and updates have to be provided to management, the project sponsor and other interested parties. There is no way to avoid that.
However, producing reports benefits the project manager. It gives them a means of showing that everything is under control and progressing well.
